I needn't have worried. The stag was in no immediate hurry to leave, I was of little or no concern to him. Here was royalty. I was a peasant allowed to bask in his presence. I didn't mind one bit.
A King granting me an audience.
Now I kept my eye to the view finder and just kept shooting pictures, pausing now and again to change a setting on the camera and check the result. In all I took over a hundred a photos this day. After what seemed like hours, but was only a few minutes, the audience appeared to be over. The stag rose majestically to his feet and paused to stretch.
