Luxmore's Garden
Page 2

Luxmore's Garden was created sometime in the 1880's by a former... I believe... Housemaster. Logic would tell me that his name must, therefore, have been Luxmore. Perhaps one of these days I will come across another reference that will more fully elaborate.

At the heart of the garden is a lawn with a small still water pool at its center. The pool is bordered by lavender which in the summer will make a lovely contrast of blue against the green.

Yellow is the predominant color in the gardens at this time of year. Daffodils, jonquils and forsythia provide the sunny splashes. The trees have not yet come into leaf and through the lacy network of bare branches you can see the College Chapel.
